Illawarra Coastal Wildflowers

The Illawarra coastline is very highly urbanised. Wildflower habitats are very limited and invasion of exotic plant species is very high. In places ill planned sand dune stabilisation has resulted in acres of foreign plants like Bitou Bush. Even when native species are planted they are limited to a handful of species resulting a lack of diversity. However if you look you can still find pockets of remant habitat.
